Wearable Technology

Moontrak, based in Fareham, Hampshire, commissioned Tidbury Photography to create a promotional video and capture a series lifestyle photographs promoting their landmark product. A wearable device designed to track health and wellbeing in relation to astronomy and birth sign. The device is linked to an app where the user can review health data and track activity, as well as monitor the alignment of the moon and stars and relate this to mood and emotion.  https://moontrak.com

‘Airpress’ Product Photography

Airpress, based in Salisbury, Hampshire, asked Tidbury Photography to photograph their series of industrial air compressor and vacuum products for their new website and future marketing. The new photographs will replace CGI images they’ve been using.

Product Photography

Product developer, Velact Ltd, based in Southampton, Hampshire, commissioned Tidbury Photography to produce professional product photography of their latest product, an extendable, rotating microfiber ‘feather’ duster, to promote sales and place on product sales websites such as Amazon. The multi-use tool has a number of functions and we were asked to create graphics to enhance the visual descriptions. The shoot also included producing a small selection of lifestyle images to demonstrate the product in use.

Wedding at Southsea Castle

I was honoured to be asked to shoot the wedding of Emm & Max at Southsea Castle. Their intimate midweek wedding was blessed with a dry afternoon following a morning of heavy rain. The day went without a hitch and we managed to capture some really lovely shots.

“I had a clear vision of what I wanted for my wedding pictures - natural, effortlessly elegant memories. I searched through many photographers and through a recommendation of a friend I found Dan. We were so impressed with his discreet professionalism ability to capture some of the most precious moments of our wedding day.

Thank you Dan for paying so much attention to all those little things that were important and meaningful to us. A truly lovely man, who has a gift and love for photography.”

High Flying Food!

The exclusive Aviator Hotel on the edge of Farnborough International
Airport kept me busy in the kitchen capturing a culinary master at work.
I was privileged to be invited to photograph two of the latest
creations by Head Chef Mateusz Maksymilian Mitka. We cleared an area in
the hotel brasserie and set up shop. After whizzing around the kitchen
for a few moments to grab some action shots of a man in his element, we
settled into photographing the food itself. Well, it’s only courtesy to
taste the goods!

Chevening Scholarship Marketing Campaign

Chevening, based in London, is the UK Government’s Global Awards Scholarship Programme for international students. To promote the programme this year their marketing team developed a clever idea to highlight the benefits of studying, not just in London but across the UK, and to highlight that ‘learning’ is all around us. To illustrate this their idea was to transform iconic UK landmarks into study areas, be it a desk, or a debating circle. Tidbury Photography was commissioned to research and develop a series of eight UK landmarks (representing all regions of the UK) and to photograph Chevening’s actual scholars in the studio, to be recomposed within the landscape scenes. These images will be used across their marketing campaign world-wide.

Hot Property

High-end property consultants, Vail Williams based in Southampton, commissioned Tidbury Photography to attend and capture one of their corporate breakfast networking conferences at Solent University in Southampton. It was an early start but people were on good form and the bacon sandwiches at the end went down a treat. This lead to being asked to photograph a series of corporate headshots for the team.

Keeping the kids occupied!

‘Scrunch’, based near Chichester, West Sussex, are expanding their portfolio of products at lightening pace, and commissioned Tidbury Photography once again to photograph their new childs silicone colouring mat. As always, the technical challenges made the product photography an interesting project. The images are for use in catalogues and online.

Stack’em high!

Commissioned by nationwide food delivery service Deliveroo to photograph a selection of burgers available at Meat & Barrell and select dishes at Belle Isle in Southsea, Portsmouth. Food photography is great fun and always poses a challenge.

Life’s a beach…

Funkit World in Chichester, West Sussex commissioned me to photograph their range of kids beach products for use in catalogues and online. All product photography jobs pose their own challenges and this project was no different. However with some clever retouching I managed to deliver a range of really nice professional product shots. Another happy customer.

Best hot chocolate in Chichester…

Commissioned by Baileys Gelato in Chichester, West Sussex to create some stunning food photography for their new high-end Ice Cream and Waffel café and take-away business. Their shop in the Market Cross serves the best hot chocolate in Chichester and the ice cream is pretty good too! My job was to make their produce look good for their window display and social media.

Dew drops

The power of macro photography never fails to amaze me and these tiny waterdroplets are millimetres across. I decided to take the camera for a walk and spend ages holding still for these shots. Working without a tripod I got lucky!

Afternoon Tea

I had the pleasure of working with the award winning Squires Garden Centres recently. Commissioned to create some appetising food photography for their menus and POS marketing. We setup on location in their refurbished flagship café in their Shepperton, London centre.

Old Friends

I was pleased to hear from an old friend recently who made contact to have some portrait photography of her little girl. After setting up a small photo studio in her home in Emsworth West Sussex we set to work, capturing some lovely baby photographs.

Future Model

Future glamour model Charlotte (pictured) presented me with the opportunity to get into the photo studio in Portsmouth and shoot some stylish model photography for her first portfolio. These simple model photos give her something to get started with.

Street food…

I had the chance to photograph ‘The Pass Street Food’ roadside food trailer in Chichester, West Sussex… serving burgers and spicy meat sandwiches to passers by. Of course I had a taste after the photography and can absolutely recommend a visit.
