Chichester based Voice & Movement Therapist, Sarah Povey, asked me to capture some soft images of her playing guitar for marketing and PR. Working with vulnerable people she wanted to appear friendly and gentle, with a sense of spirituality. We found a nice spot in a park with soft dappled light to capture this.

Chichester based professional writer and published author, Edward Couzens-Lake, asked me to capture some relaxed professional headshots for his website and PR. We ended up in a nice hotel bar and sat down with a coffee. The light was good and Ed was beginning to relax, I managed grab a few shots in between sips.

Our design and publishing branch have been working extensively with Asian food manufacturing startup, Katayama. Having already created and developed the brand identity and a large range of packaging labels, brochures and other marketing materials, (which you can see here: http://tidburymedia.com/2018/09/19/packaging-design), we were asked to create high-end imagery of the new product range.

I was honoured to be asked to shoot the wedding of Emm & Max at Southsea Castle. Their intimate midweek wedding was blessed with a dry afternoon following a morning of heavy rain. The day went without a hitch and we managed to capture some really lovely shots.
“I had a clear vision of what I wanted for my wedding pictures - natural, effortlessly elegant memories. I searched through many photographers and through a recommendation of a friend I found Dan.
We were so impressed with his discreet professionalism ability to capture some of the most precious moments of our wedding day.
Thank you Dan for paying so much attention to all those little things that were important and meaningful to us.
A truly lovely man, who has a gift and love for photography.”

The exclusive Aviator Hotel on the edge of Farnborough International
Airport kept me busy in the kitchen capturing a culinary master at work.
I was privileged to be invited to photograph two of the latest
creations by Head Chef Mateusz Maksymilian Mitka. We cleared an area in
the hotel brasserie and set up shop. After whizzing around the kitchen
for a few moments to grab some action shots of a man in his element, we
settled into photographing the food itself. Well, it’s only courtesy to
taste the goods!

This little critter caught my eye in the rose bush so I thought I’d grab the camera. Just look at those fangs deeply secured within the abdomen of the wasp. I guess the crab spider won!

Chevening, based in London, is the UK Government’s Global Awards Scholarship Programme for international students. To promote the programme this year their marketing team developed a clever idea to highlight the benefits of studying, not just in London but across the UK, and to highlight that ‘learning’ is all around us. To illustrate this their idea was to transform iconic UK landmarks into study areas, be it a desk, or a debating circle. Tidbury Photography was commissioned to research and develop a series of eight UK landmarks (representing all regions of the UK) and to photograph Chevening’s actual scholars in the studio, to be recomposed within the landscape scenes. These images will be used across their marketing campaign world-wide.

It was an early start but people were on good form and the bacon sandwiches at the end went down a treat. This lead to being asked to photograph a series of corporate headshots for the team.

The power of macro photography never fails to amaze me and these tiny waterdroplets are millimetres across. I decided to take the camera for a walk and spend ages holding still for these shots. Working without a tripod I got lucky!
